Shmoody's Student Advisory Board brings together college students from across the country to help guide how our platform is built and improved.

What Is the Student Advisory Board?

The Student Advisory Board is a year-long opportunity for 20 college students to work directly with Shmoody. Members will help inform:

New Features

Get early access and test new features before they launch.

Product Feedback

Provide product and user experience feedback that shapes development.

Campus Outreach

Share input on campus messaging, content, and outreach strategy.

Student Perspective

Share perspective on real student challenges and day-to-day needs.

Nationwide Impact

Help shape how Shmoody supports campuses nationwide.

What Participation Looks Like

12-Month Term

Fall Cohort: August – July
Spring Cohort: January – December

Light Commitment

1–2 assignments per month
~30 minutes each

Fully Flexible

Asynchronous completion
Optional virtual discussions

We offer about two assignments a month — you choose which to take on. To stay in good standing, aim to complete at least 12 over your 12-month term, and try not to skip more than four in a row. Everything's asynchronous with a two-week window, so you can work around exams and busy weeks.

You'll receive a $25 digital gift card for each assignment you complete — typically 1–2 per month.

Who Should Apply?

The Student Advisory Board is a strong fit for students who:

  • Are interested in product, design, UX, psychology, marketing, communications, entrepreneurship, or tech
  • Care about student wellbeing and campus culture
  • Enjoy giving thoughtful, constructive feedback
  • Want experience influencing a real student-facing platform
  • Bring diverse perspectives and lived experiences

No prior experience is required — just curiosity and a willingness to engage.

Applicants must be 18+, currently enrolled at a college or university, and apply using an institutional email address.

International students are welcome. If visa or school policies mean you can't accept gift-card compensation, you can join on a recognition-only basis and still receive the letter of recommendation and LinkedIn endorsement.
